Picturessssss
These are of the place we are moving out of...there really is only one good thing to say about this place...it was nice and big, great sized rooms :) Everything else sucked...we never had heat, one of the elevators was always broken, we had leakage from the roof in the bedroom (which got patched up) which lead to leakage in the bathroom. All our stuff is packed up so it is a little messy but it is all there :D

Eeep!
We move this Saturday...i'm excited and stressed
Excited because we get outta this stupid hellhole and stressed because I hate moving and i feel like we aren't ready...most things are packed but I just feel like it isn't going to go as smoothly as we have it planned...blah
Next time I post i'll be in a brand new place...with no silverfish bugs, no rotting walls in the bathroom and working elevators!! woot! (unless of course i post from work or something in the next day or so :D)

as predicted...
So a team leader was canned yesterday after he yelled at one of the girls on my team...now this was a long time coming with the way that he acted on a regular basis but it all came to fruition last week.
Quick history...
Lee (said TL) is 'best friends' with one of the agents in my center, said agent (Veronica) is married and has a child. Her husband just moved up here from where they lived before (puerto rico i think). Lee told Veronica that he loved her and that he had seriously fallen for her...Veronica told him nothing was going to happen but kept talking to him...which would only lead him on. Lee then proceeded to tell my collegue (Vanessa) that Veronica was really in love with him but that he didn't want to ruin her marriage and her family and at the same time telling Veronica that Vanessa wanted to date him, etc. Vanessa and Veronica then started talking about the whole deal...and it turns out he was telling each girl something about the other that wasn't true, as well as everyone else about it. Lee found out that Vanessa had talked to Veronica about the whole thing and FLIPPED out on her in the lunch room. Vanessa then gave him the chance to apologize to her for doing it but instead he took it to Facebook, so she had no other choice than to tell his superior. Things were handled and he was ninja'd out the door yesterday...
Fuck people are stupid...don't talk stupid shit if you don't want stupid shit to happen to you...personally i think he asked for it...others disagree, saying Vanessa shouldn't have done what she did...
ah well...too late now...he was already on a warning...
woot 3 days til we are outta here and headed to Toronto!! yay!!!

sanity is definitely a frame of mind
This job wears on me daily, it is a wonder that I haven't gotten completely nuts already...it having been 3yrs now since I started. Don't we love these temporary jobs?? With this actually working it SHOULD be much easier to update and complain whenever I want. Mandy I know you'll love this :) So hopefully it continues...however I will say my life REALLY isn't that interesting so I'm not sure how i'm going to update this regularly haha
Today it is usually a slack day at work, however we are down one person and so as fate usually has it it is extremely busy...so far though we are good. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for it to stay like this...
I have spent the last few weeks updating one of our programs that we use with my job and it has been extremely tedious BUT I finally got it done! WOOT! So now I'll just have to go through it every now and then to make sure everything is still up to date...go me!
Now on to the updates
Byron and I found another place to move to, we are making this a trend (as it was when he was living on his own) of moving every year...which is a pain in the a** with all the stuff I have accumulated over the years. I'm the biggest pack-rat ever...this is gonna be rough... On another note, we should be moving next month but aren't sure exactly the date yet as the current occupant is just supposed to be out before Oct 1st but I think they are moving into a house or something and so right now the landlord isn't quite sure when exactly we will be able to get in there. Current date is set for Sept. 27th weekend though...updates to the address will come later. The place is $1200 all inclusive, and by inclusive I mean totally inclusive. This place has a dishwasher and it has a washer and dryer in the apartment, so no more paying to wash our clothes! YAY! Although Byron is complaining that he will be unemployed since we'll have a dishwasher and he previous occupied that position in the house lol
I'm in physio again for my knee, hopefully I'll be walking normally by November when we head to Mexico for the wedding...blah, I wish my knee would just work rather than me having to work to get it working again *sigh*
Byron and I are headed to Toronto on Friday for the Pearl Jam concert. We have opted to drive down there rather than take the bus or the train so it will be a long drive but should be ok until we hit the GTA I'm sure. Byron's collegue Jason and his wife Drew are coming with us but they are taking the train down there, so we were thinking of trying to get to TO in time to go get them at the train station. We have told them that this is only a deal if they stay at the same place that we are staying and then we don't have to worry about trying to find their hotel and then trying to find ours :) Also PJ is one of Jason's favourite bands but he hasn't ever seen them in concert so this will be super exciting due to the fact that he hasn't ever experienced them yet...should be a blast :D I'm also excited because the PJ concerts are always super entertaining and full of energy. Only issue I'll have is that I won't be able to stand for the 3+ hours that the concert is going to go on for which is gonna suck terribly *sigh* When they tour again I'm hoping to be able to enjoy it more thoroughly. Ted Leo and the Pharmacists are opening for them, we were hoping for Ben Harper and the Relentless 7 since they are touring with PJ for most of the rest of the tour but apparently they must be taking the night off or something that night. Ted Leo is ok, not my favourite choice for an opener though but i'll survive I suppose.
I think that that is all I can write about today...I can't think of anything else worth talking about that has happened lately...so for now...I sign off...

Hugh Jackman was nekkid...like FULLY nekkid on Friday and I saw him!! Ok so it was on a big movie screen but still...nekkid! Ok and I definitely won't discount the half nekkidness of Ryan Reynolds cause that was definitely hot too :D Ok enough of all that...Xmen Origins: Wolverine was a very good movie. I'd recommend it and go see it again if I had the time, unfortunately there is no time for that (at least not this month). The plot was kinda all over the place due to all of the information and back story they had to squeeze into this movie but it was all in all a good movie and full of action.
Now on to the rest of this month...upcoming Star Trek this Friday in IMAX and it looks REALLY good. I never thought i'd say it but i'm actually excited for this movie to come out :) Then the next week is Angels & Demons, followed by Terminator Salvation and then finally UP the last weekend of May.
So the TV season is coming to an end and therefore another summer approaches with all its warm weather and blue skies...which also means the calls at work will increase tremendously since everyone will be taking holidays with their children :\ OI! I hate when it is busy...
On another note...I will be taking 3 weeks off in June/July to head to Belgium for Byron's grandfather's 90th birthday party. I am super pumped...I've never been out of North America before so we'll try to get to as many places as we can while we are over there. Then in August we're headed to Toronto to see Pearl Jam with a friend of Byron's from work who's favourite band is Pearl Jam but he hasn't ever seen them live before...should DEFINITELY be interesting to see what he thinks :) Then October Byron's friend is getting married, Byron is one of the groomsmen, but that is here in town so no need to travel anywhere for it :) Another trip in November to Mexico for my friend's wedding, I've never been there either...hopefully I get all this extra weight I have gained off before then so I don't have to wear a t-shirt around the whole time trying to hide it :(
